What Can I Expect
This junior off road driving experience takes place on a 40 acre site in the North Yorkshire countryside, it's specially aimed at youngsters who are keen to have a go behind the wheel of a proper 4x4 vehicle. The venue is close to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and a few miles from the A1.
The experience starts with a safety briefing and a short explanation of how 4x4s work, before the juniors head off on their very own driving session. All tuition is done on a one to one basis, so youngsters have the undivided attention of the fully qualified off road driving instructor for the entire time they are behind the wheel negotiating the challenging off road obstacles
Choose from a junior session lasting either 30 minutes or one hour. The driving time can be shared with another youngster for a fee of £29, payable at the centre, or you may choose the 4x4 part where up to four juniors can share the one hour drive time. There are no minimum age restrictions, they just need to be tall enough (5ft) to be able to reach the pedals. And with power-assisted steering and brakes, they don't need to be mega strong to handle these big, beefed up off road vehicles.
Let's face it, how many kids get the chance to drive a real 4x4 before they've even driven a normal hatchback with L plates on? It's a new challenge and one they are sure to remember. This mind-blowing outing will be the envy of their friends - in fact, it would make a great treat for them as well.
