Aston Martin Drive

Seighford. 31st August 2016. Warm and sunny. Mid afternoon. Speaking personally...... I get the feeling that this type of 'experience' is designed for people who would never dream of sitting in such a vehicle, let alone ever driving one. Watching an inexperienced driver behind the wheel of a Lamborghini, Porsche or Aston Martin... They obviously don't mind not getting beyond 2nd gear. Unfortunately the marketing penetrates sufficiently to also attract 'drivers' who are prepared to spend around £100 to have a "thrill", and wrongly assume that 6 laps of a track means just that.....Not the reality of sitting with a passenger who has their thumb on an electronic brake control on a "circuit" which goes around in a circle and takes seconds to complete.... Nice apples for the Company though if one were to stand long enough and count the heads per day through the venue.....So there ARE lots of thrill seekers for whom 3 minutes at the wheel of a Ferrari being scared by how fast these machines can accelerate if you squeeze the throttle slightly, justifies driving half way across the country and a day or two's wages. Despite what the other reviews say, with regard to the organisation at the venue, it came across as not being at all organised, in fact I would call it amateurish and disorganised, possibly even unsafe. Young girls shouting out names at the tops of their voices to be heard above the noise of engines, all of the staff are very well trained in the art of letting you know that they are "very busy".... We asked about having a 4 x 4 ride and were told it would be a "long wait"... We sauntered up to the area where this was operated, and were ushered straight into a Land Rover. No wait at all.! This was also a joke. "No seat belts required" the young driver told us, who then set off in low ratio first gear and went up a couple of bumps and through a puddle telling us all the time how easy his job is.... I am sure this ride could have been accomplished with more 'fun' in a wheelchair. So, to sum up..... If you are thinking of buying a voucher for a supercar drive, you will get to drive a supercar, under very tightly controlled conditions. If this is a "thrill" for you then go ahead, otherwise hire a fast car or go to a track day. This does NOT compare. Be warned..!! Indoor karting is far, far superior if you can drive competently at speed. I will be very surprised if this review is ever published.

Great experience. The staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Safety always a priority, especially during a thunderstorm...!! A real privilege to drive a car of this quality.

The actuall driving was great. All the additions that were being offered should already have been sorted/offered when booking the experience, especially when asked to pay £20.00 to ensure against damage, if not taken out you could face a £2000.00 bill.
