What Can I Expect
It's like an undercover stealth mission when you go quad biking in Birmingham! Tucked away in a forest just north of Brum hides a whole world of woodland fun. This experience gives you a full hour trek in the undergrowth riding your very own All Terrain Vehicle for the duration.
The aim here is not to race, but to explore and pick your way through the undergrowth. Who'd have thought there could be such treacherous and challenging terrain in Birmingham?! These quad bikes are the right machines for the job and won't let you down. Fully automatic with easy start, a digital display (so you can see how fast you go over those bumps) and ergonomic seat design, you'll be comfortable and safe on this little mover.
By the time you're ready for the off you too will be fully geared up for the event, with camp-style overalls, gloves and a full face helmet on. Even the quads look the part as they are liveried in forest green, so you'll be practically an undercover quadder whilst roaming Birmingham's ancient woods on your Kymco 150cc ATV.
As you head along dirt tracks, over wobbly bridges, through water-filled ditches and over bumps, the chances are your quad will get covered in dust and splattered in mud and so will you, but that's all part of the fun of quad biking. What's more, this Birmingham venue is home to many other outdoor activities including a paint ball set up, so you could find yourself riding past some of the sets, including abandoned military vehicles and forest hideaways. Intriguing stuff!
Of course, this isn't just a hire and drive type set up. The Birmingham-based team is on hand to teach you the basics of the quad bike's controls (really easy and quick to get the hang of) and once you've passed the control test, one of the expert riders will lead the merry gang of quadders off into the Brummy 'jungle'!
Quad biking at Birmingham's superbly named Trickley Coppice is available all year round and offers everyone from nervous first time trekkers to serious quadding fans a whole expanse of terrain and trails to be be discovered on your Kymco bike. Surprisingly sturdy and agile (these well-equipped models have 10 inch wheels and rear disc brakes) you will be able to follow the leader with ease. And if youngsters want a go, the same operator has junior quad biking for 11-15 year olds.
