What Can I Expect

Fly aerobatics over Northamptonshire! This is your chance to reserve a 30-minute flight slot at Deenethorpe Airfield to experience some amazing aerial stunts in an aerobatic aircraft. It's not for the fainthearted, but it is incredible!

You will be flying in a Robin 2160 Alpha Sport. This is a low-wing, fully aerobatic light aircraft that is a great little trainer plane, as it is dual-control. That means you won't just be a passenger, you'll be able to have a go flying the Robin - if you're up for it.

This agile little plane is really popular with pilots. They say it's a lovely aeroplane to fly that handles very well in the air. It's not super fast, so you can really enjoy performing your aerobatic moves.

But make no mistake, just because this Robin is used for aerobatic training at this Northamptonshire flight school, doesn't mean to say it's like a learner plane. Even the most experienced pilots have fun pushing the Alpha Sport to its limits, which, incidentally are from zero gravity up to 6g. Impressive.

All flight experiences are geared to you. The pre-flight briefing will allow you and your pilot instructor to discuss what you want to achieve. It might be that you're eager to learn looping the loop with you at the controls. Or maybe you're happy just enjoying the views (albeit upside down!) of the Northamptonshire countryside.
