What Can I Expect
The Amy Winehouse Tour - a very personal insight into the life and music of the jazz-influenced icon who passed away too young. Spend a couple of hours in the company of a knowledgeable expert who will show you around Amy’s beloved Camden.
This vibrant, energetic and culturally diverse area of North London was where upcoming singer Amy Winehouse played her first gigs. Camden was her home. The star is remembered today with a sculpture, mural and lots of heartfelt fan graffiti.
Your meeting point is Chalk Farm Station. From here, you’ll head off on your two-hour walking tour. You’ll be shown the places that Amy frequented, such as the Hawley Arms pub and the Dublin Castle, where she stepped on stage early in her music career.
Amy’s career sky-rocketed with the release of her first album “Frank” in 2003, then her second and final LP, “Back to Black” propelled her to international superstardom with her voice that, once heard, could never be forgotten.
You’ll hear how the fragile young singer songwriter struggled to cope with her fame and her untimely death in 2011, joining the tragic ‘27 Club’. Seeing the many tributes and memorials to Amy in her native Camden is testament to how much she loved the place and how much she was loved.
For fans of Amy and her music, this tour is a must. From seeing where she hung out in Camden, to hearing all about life in the public eye and in private, this Amy Winehouse tour gives you a fascinating insight into the incredibly talented star, celebrating her all too short life.
