What Can I Expect

Artisanal and creative, these Bonsai Terrarium Workshops are lots of fun! Spend a half-day with the talented team making your very own glass terrarium with a lovely little Bonsai tree as the focal point.

We are offering vouchers for terrarium experiences in both London (Shoreditch) and Manchester (Northern Quarter) locations. They are very much hands-on sessions, with each participant making their own terrarium with a Bonsai tree inside to take home.

The first task is to decide on the shape of your glass vessel. Will you go classic or modern? Whichever suits your taste and style, the choice is yours!

Then it's all about layering. Working with different materials in varying colours, you build up your little indoor garden in a jar. We're talking different-coloured gravel and stones, as the foundation of your terrarium - and of course, you can see the layered effect through the glass vessel.

Then it's the planting. With species like cushion moss (so cool!) and fittonia making up the backbone of your miniature ecosystem, you're then ready to add the star of the show - your Bonsai.

The team has chosen the Ficus Ginseng Bonsai for your terrariums and it's a true gem. It's easy to look after and very pretty, making it an ideal choice for your first Bonsai tree.
