What Can I Expect

Visit the Chafor Wine Estate on a vineyard tour and tasting experience! Explore this family-run winery in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside, producing lovely white, red, rose and sparkling English wines.

Tim Chafor and his wife Sarah are the chief cogs in the wheel of this enterprising family business. Their passion and determination (along with Tim's propensity to design and build some rather funky inventions) has fed Chafor Wine's excellent reputation.

Tim planted his first vines in 2009 on this estate just outside Gawcott village. Growing robust grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, he followed this with the more delicate Madeleine Angvine and Bacchus. All grow well in Buckinghamshire, as you'll find all the soil types here.

On these tours and tasting experiences, you'll take a guided wander through the vines, hearing all about the challenges the Chafor family has faced. And it's quite a story.

You will also get to taste a trio of the wines produced on the Chafor estate. If you fancy adding some nibbles, go for the 'tour and tasting with cheeseboard' voucher option to accompany your wine with a hand-picked selection of cheeses, crackers and pickles.

Tours and tastings at the Chafor wine estate are available in the afternoons from spring to autumn, with extra dates in the evenings during summer. We think it's a great way to while away a few hours in Buckinghamshire!

When Is It Available

• Sessions generally start at either 12:00pm or 2:00pm, with some evening sessions available in the summer
