What Can I Expect

Give it your best shot when you go clay pigeon shooting in Rufforth! We are offering 20 and 30-clay taster experiences at this range just 20-minutes from York's city centre. 

One of the most reputable clay shoots in the York area, this Rufforth centre has been welcoming all levels of shooters for many years. They've got an excellent set up, with several different stands, all with 34-acres of the stunning Yorkshire countryside as your backdrop.

The staff on site are super friendly and passionate about clay shooting. Many of the team are military or police trained in firearms, so they know what they're talking about. They are also really good at explaining things clearly, so you know exactly where you stand when it comes to safety including handling and using the guns.

After a welcome and briefing, you'll each be kitted out with the right calibre of gun for your frame. Once everything has been explained to you and you're ready with the safety gear on, it's time for that first shout of ‘pull!' and it's over to you to track that flying disk and see if you can smash it into a zillion pieces.

Don't worry if you completely miss that debut clay. Depending on which voucher you choose, you've got another 19 or 29 to see if you can hit the spot! And what's more, the coaches will be on hand to give you hints and tips to help you become a clay hotshot.
