What Can I Expect
Closed cockpit gyrocopter lessons in Kent - thrills and comfort combined on these gyro lessons out of Rochester Airport!
The Cavalon is a gyrocopter, but not as you know it. Having a wider, enclosed cockpit means you will be sitting side-by-side for a fun flight in a gyro, without all that buffeting and ‘wind in your hair' feeling!
Being seated next to (rather than in front of) your instructor means you get to observe everything they do to get this amazing little autogyro off the ground. What's more, the Cavalon is dual control, so (if you're up for it) you will be flying.
We have vouchers for a full range of lessons and experiences in these enclosed cockpit gyros out of Kent's Rochester Airport. From a 15-minute whizz around the local area, to a 90-minute cross-country cruise over Kentish coast and country.
Headed up by Kai Maurer, this is a CAA-approved PPL(Gyroplane) training school, so it's where budding pilots come to get their licence. And that means you are in very good, experienced hands for your experience.
And indeed, all experiences are treated as lessons, so you get the maximum amount of time at the controls as possible. You'll be amazed at how stable and nimble these closed cockpit models are, capable of cruising at 90mph with a range of over five hours!
Easy to get to from all over Kent and situated just south of Chatham next to the A2, Rochester Airport is a great departure point for our closed-cockpit gyrocopter lessons in Kent. And if you do fancy that ‘in the elements' experience, we offer open-cockpit gyrocopter flights with the same operator!
