What Can I Expect
Drive a Dennis fire engine at venues around the UK! A genuine ex-Fire Service engine (complete with all the horns and sirens) is ready for you to drive at a location near you.
Initially these experiences were intended as junior fire engine drives, but it turned out the grown ups were clamouring to have a go too! So, now, the sessions are open to anyone from the age of 10 years old. And of course, taking place on close tracks and private land around the country, there's no need to have a driving licence, so big and little kids alike can enjoy driving the Dennis fire engine.
So why is the bright red Dennis fire engine so special? The Dennis is still revered by active firefighters the length and breadth of the country as being the best Fire Service appliance ever; reliable, rugged and solid. Everything you need from a fire appliance.
The Dennis is just as you remember, when these powerful British designed and built engines pounded the streets of every fire service in the UK. See one of these coming up behind you with the lights flashing and sirens going and you get out of the way fast.
You'll get to drive this impressive 12-tonne Dennis fire truck for 20-minutes. On an emergency call out this bright red engine would have easily been capable of 75mph, even when fully-laden with crew, hoses, ladders, cutting gear and so on.
You feel really high up in the roomy driver and crew cab and it's pretty amazing up there. Just as you'd hoped, all the switches and levers are there to get the sirens going, blast out the bull horn and those blue lights spinning too.
We think whether you're a keen teen or an even keener grown up, you will absolutely love the day you get to drive a Dennis fire engine at the location of your choice. Book your voucher and get ready to be the one in charge of a big, red Dennis.
