What Can I Expect

Drone training in Hampshire on a one-to-one basis! These lessons are tailored to your needs, so whether you already have a drone, or are simply interested in drone flying, these sessions near Alton are for you.

We are offering one and two-hour bespoke lessons at Chawton village in Hampshire. Your tutors are all CAA certified commercial drone pilots who have many years of experience flying drones and unmanned aerial vehicles. They will teach you everything you need to know about drones, flying and safety.

All sessions cover both theory and practical aspects. You will learn about The Drone Code, safe flying practices and be introduced to the DJI Go app. Then it's time to get flying. These operators use the latest DJI Mavic and Air Series drones, which are industry-leading models for video and photo work. You will be learning how to take off, control and land the drones safely.

We recommend you go for the two-hour drone experience, as it gives you so much more hands-on flying time. Going above and beyond the basic safe flying practices, you'll try skills such as tracking and quick shot modes too, giving you an all-round training.

Indeed, this training provider's aim is for you to be 'competent and confident in all aspects of drone flying as a safe and responsible drone pilot'. If you have your own drone, you are more than welcome to bring it along with you.

All experiences take place at Chawton's cricket club in the heart of the village. It's a lovely location, with St Nicholas's church, the Greyfriar pub, Chawton's Elizabethan manor and gardens, as well as Jane Austen's house as your beautiful backdrop. No doubt you'll be capturing some stunning aerial footage on your bespoke drone training course in Hampshire!

When Is It Available

• Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• Morning and afternoon sessions are generally available
• Drones cannot fly in the rain or strong winds (over 20mph)
• Should the weather be unsuitable, lessons will be re-scheduled

• Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to come along and watch the action

Anything Else

• Participants can bring their own drone if they wish
