What Can I Expect
Book an electric aircraft experience in Norwich and you're flying 100% eclectic and zero emissions! We are offering vouchers for 30-minute all-electric flights in the very funky Pipistrel Velis Electro out of the Saxon Air facility at Norwich International Airport.
The Velis Electro is leading the charge (‘scuse the pun!) in electric aviation. It's the world's very first 100% electric-powered light aircraft to receive a Type certificate and the clever people at design and manufacturers Pipistrel are very proud.
So how does the electric Pipistrel work? Two 70kg liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery packs power the propeller (yes, the plane still has one!). If you're wondering how much the whole thing weighs, it's 430kg. And yes, it's really quiet in flight too.
And the flight range is a good 50-minutes, making them an ideal choice for flight training. Then how long does it take to recharge an electric aircraft? This Velis Electro can be topped in 30 minutes, with a full, complete charge from 0% around two hours.
Your instructor will introduce you to the Pipistrel. After the walk-around the pre-flights checks will be done and you're ready to control Norwich ATC to get clearance for take off - and you're flying! Enjoy the views, have a go at the controls and generally get to know this amazing little plane.
Are you for flying with zero emissions and zero guilt? Shop your voucher for an electric aircraft experience in Norwich now!
