What Can I Expect

Exclusive helicopter rides in Cornwall! It will just be your group of up to four with the pilot for these private charters setting off from Land’s End Airport, a privately-owned airstrip in St Ives Bay or Perranporth.

During these 30-minute experiences, you’ll be discovering the rugged Cornish coastline from the air. Much of the area is protected as designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 

You will quickly climb in the helicopter to your cruising level, giving you spectacular sweeping views and panoramas of the cliffs and beaches of Cornwall, with the white surf crashing into the rocks and seagulls circling in the warm air currents.

Some of these Cornish corners of the country are totally wild, whilst others are popular seaside resorts. Throughout your exciting ride, the pilot will give a commentary on all the natural and manmade landmarks to spot from the air, so you won't miss anything there is to see.

Flight paths will vary according to your departure point, but you might pass over places such as Pendeen Lighthouse, perched on the edge of the stunning Penwith Heritage Coast, Sennen Cove and Lamorna Cove too.

The helicopter will also give you spectacular aerial views of the open-air Minack Theatre (or Gwaryjy Minack in Cornish), built into the steep, granite hillside near Porthcurno. And then there’s St Michael’s Mount, which is even more picturesque when seen from the air!

When Is It Available

Penzance (Lands End Airport) or  St Ives

• Flight are available between July - August, subject to availability 
• Due to popularity it is recommended to book well in advance to avoid disappointment

Perranporth

• Vouchers can also be used for flights from Perranporth.  If choosing this location please be aware the tour does not travel as far as Sennen etc.. and turns around at St Ives
• Typically flights take place at least one weekend day per month, with occasional weekdays from April to October
• Dates and flight times are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• Minimum age six
• Under 12s must be accompanied by a participating adult
• Maximum height 6ft 6ins
• Weight restrictions: maximum 15 stone*  please see anything else section

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome and may take photographs

Anything Else

• Photo ID and proof of address will be required on the day

• Flying activities have maximum weights (per seat) to ensure health and safety along with the comfort of fellow passenger
• You must enter passenger/participant weight at the time of booking an experience. If weight varies between the time of initial booking and date of flight experience it remains the responsibility of the customer to update their individual weight via their online account prior to flight
• All passengers will be weighed before flight and if disparity exists between weight disclosed and actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be illegible to fly
