What Can I Expect
Flying lessons in Warwickshire out of Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome! We are offering 45 and 60-minute lessons in two-seater aircraft at this long-established flight training centre, just 10-minutes from beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon.
Headed up by flying principal Rodney Galiffe, the Wellesbourne-based flying school has been training new pilots (including hundreds of Air Cadets) since 1982. This South Warwickshire flight centre is a great place to learn, as the teaching is second to none. It's approved under EASA regulations by the UK CAA, offering a fully integrated programme for those who want to become pilots.
They also delight in taking up newbies on their very first flying lesson out of Wellesbourne Mount. The airfield is ideal, as there is no commercial traffic and no smog - just open, flat Warwickshire countryside to fly over. So on these trial flights you get amazing views and great tuition too!
On the day of your lesson, you'll be greeted by your flying instructor. After walking out onto the tarmac apron to the aircraft, you'll be shown the cockpit instruments and primary flying controls. There’s no queuing on the runway for take off behind other air traffic, so you'll be maximising your time in the air.
Whether you are a complete novice, or you think you've got a natural aptitude for flying, we can highly recommend the lessons at this Warwickshire flight school. You will really get a feel of what piloting a light aircraft is all about and, of course, plenty of opportunity to take the controls and fly.
