What Can I Expect
It's destination Wiltshire for these flying lessons out of Old Sarum Airfield! We are offering vouchers for 30 and 60-minute flights in four-seater aircraft from this historic location.
Hidden amongst the beautiful countryside around Salisbury, Old Sarum has long been linked to aviation, having opened as a base for the RAF Flying Corps in 1917. Hugely implicated in both World Wars and indeed the D-Day operations, Old Sarum Airfield is a preserved site, with several original buildings now Grade II listed.
These days operating as a small and discreet little airfield, Sarum has a friendly, yet professional atmosphere - the ideal venue for your first flight in a light aircraft. It's a popular place for vintage aircraft, so you might spot some during your visit!
For your trial flight you'll be taking to the skies in a Piper PA28 four seater aircraft. Before you get airborne you'll meet your flying instructor who'll be taking you up.
After a thorough safety briefing and pre-flight checks, you will taxi along ready for take off. Once up in the air, you'll have a fantastic bird's eye view of local Wiltshire landmarks such as Salisbury cathedral, as you head towards the south coast.
As well as enjoying the aerial views of Salisbury and the seaside, you will also be invited to take the controls of the plane for that full trial flight experience and actually fly the plane yourself! Book your flying lesson at Wiltshire's lovely Old Sarum airfield now!

Spectators
- Spectators are welcome to watch your experience
- Guests will not be able to join you in the passenger seat, as pilots at this centre prefer that the first lesson is on a one to one basis only
- The airfield has stunning views over Wiltshire and The Skies restaurant on site provides toilets and washrooms, breakfasts, lunches and snacks in the afternoon
