What Can I Expect

The Gusbourne Estate sparkling wine flight experience - taste a quartet of hand-selected, delicious, award-winning, sparkling wines proudly produced by this Kent wine estate!

Just beyond the pretty village of Appledore, on the very northern edge of Romney Marsh, you’ll find this picturesque 60-acre wine estate. The vines, first planted in 2004, thrive in this corner of Kent and every wine made here is the product of nature and know-how, time and patience.

Your sparkling wine experience is a relaxed and informative affair, with an expert host from Gusbourne presenting each of the four wines you’ll be tasting. The team is quite rightly very proud of the wines they produce here, from the sparkling wines you’ll be tasting today, to their classic still wines and limited edition small batch vintages too.

The estate only uses grapes grown on their own vineyards for wine making, with grape varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier thriving in the Kentish soil and sun.

During your wine flight you’ll be able to ask questions as your host shares winemaking insights and pours each of the selected sparkling wines in turn.

Your tasting will last around an hour and afterwards you are most welcome to take a wander around the vineyard. It’s in a lovely setting and is a great way to round off the day you tasted your way through a Gusbourne Estate sparkling wine flight!

When Is It Available

• Available Wednesdays to Mondays throughout the year (closed Tuesdays)
• Due to popularity it recommended you book at least 4 weeks in advance

• The tasting room has ramp access, and accessible toilets suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those that use a wheelchair some of the time
• Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted inside The Nest, the tasting rooms or winery
