What Can I Expect
Helicopter lessons in Suffolk out of East Anglia's lovely Beccles Aerodrome! We are offering vouchers for 30 and 60-minute flights in two and four-seater helicopters from this fantastic little airfield near the Suffolk coast.
Beccles is a great place. Opened in 1944 as a USAF base and then home to the RAF Coastal Command, there's lots of history at this airfield in the Suffolk countryside. Today, it's a delightful aerodrome with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere - perfect for helicopter flying.
The school you will be visiting for your trial lesson has been teaching budding helicopter pilots at Beccles since 2010. Their hangar is filled with an impressive fleet, including two-seater R22 and four-seater R44 helicopters, Cabri G2s, alongside microlights and light aircraft.
All flights are treated as lessons, so (if you're up for it) you'll be able to have a go at the controls during your experience as you soar over the Suffolk coastline near Lowestoft and hover above the fields.
And we can't talk about helicopter lessons out of this Suffolk airfield without mentioning the range of facilities at Beccles. The Club Virage cafe bar (with a proper full English breakfast) is legendary - you can't miss their converted double decker bus!
