What Can I Expect

Meet Herbie the movie car! Drive a faithful replica of the famous ‘Love Bug' VW Beetle - with the possibility of throwing in drives in another couple of instantly recognisable motors from the big screen too!

Herbie. What a car. This amazing Volkswagen Beetle was born in 1963. He wasn't like the other Beetles. Herbie could drive himself. The little VW was full of energy, cheerful and cheeky, as he loved to play practical jokes on people. Ok, he couldn't actually speak, but he certainly knew how to communicate and make himself heard.

Starring in movies from the original ‘The Love Bug' to ‘Herbie Rides Again', ‘Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo', ‘Herbie Goes Bananas' and the modern ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded', this characterful car appeals to generations of film fans.

This is your chance to drive a faithful facsimile of the loveable little Herbie. Right down to those bug eyes, the red and blue racing stripes and the number 53 roundels, this Herbie looks the business.

We won't bother giving you the stats of this car, because how fast Herbie goes from 0-60mph isn't the point. It's all about taking this unique car for an entertaining spin around the track. The original VW Beetles are true classics and really quite different from anything else you'll have driven.

If you want to add a bit more movie magic to your experience, you can add a drive in a ‘General Lee' Challenger and/or a ‘Bumblebee' Camaro. The 6.1l V8 Dodge Challenger is a superb modern version of Bo and Luke Dukes' 1968 Charger. And the Chevrolet Camaro is giving off those very cool (and bright yellow!) Transformer vibes.

All experiences also include a hot lap in a rear-wheel drive MX5 (enormous fun!). A great way to round off the day you drove a Herbie movie car!

When Is It Available

• Vouchers are valid for use on weekdays
• Weekend upgrade fee is £24 (payable when booking your date)
• Specific days are subject to availability at your chosen venue
• All dates are subject to weather conditions

Suitable For

• Minimum age 17
• Minimum height 4ft 10in / 147cm
• Full UK driving licence required as the Herbie is manual transmission only
• Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to watch from designated viewing areas

Anything Else

• Drivers are insured but are liable for a £5000 excess which can be waivered for an additional charge of payable when booking your date (1-2 cars £25, 3 cars £35)
• Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their session start time for registration
• Various media options are available to purchase on the day
