What Can I Expect
Set sail on a delightful High Tea Cruise in Dorset! Spend a lovely afternoon onboard vintage motor yacht Dorset Queen cruising around Poole and enjoying sweet and savoury teatime treats too.
You will board the good ship Dorset Queen from Poole Quay. Listed on the UK National Historic Ship Register, this charming boat was built in 1938. She has had a fascinating working life, from operating as a cruise vessel in Scotland, to being requisitioned by the Royal Navy to assist with the Dunkirk evacuations in WW2.
Having been fully restored back to her full glory in 2008 by the Dorset cruise team, this wonderful boat now sails along the Jurassic coastline in and around Poole. With a capacity of just 22, it's the ideal choice for small groups, families and other get-togethers.
One of the most popular sailings is the High Tea cruise. You set sail at 13:30. There's plenty of time to enjoy the gorgeous coastal views from the upper deck with its retractable canopy - and Prosecco bar. Oh yes.
Downstairs you'll find the seated saloons and the enclosed rear deck areas. Passengers all say the same thing when they board the Dorset Queen; that it's much more spacious and roomy than they thought it'd be.
And indeed it's a real treat to be onboard this vintage vessel. The crew is welcoming and very lovely. You will be shown to your table and you'll be served a welcome glass of Prosecco, followed by your afternoon tea.
We can highly recommend paying the small amount extra for the ‘Bottomless' option, as it means you can keep sipping the Prosecco throughout your cruise.
As you enjoy your sit down tea, you'll sail past Poole's five islands and maybe even cruise into Poole Bay if the winds are right. The Captain will keep you informed of the sights to see, as well as telling you a bit about the history of the area and this very special boat.
So if you fancy a nice afternoon on a vintage motor yacht, buy your voucher for a High Tea Cruise in Dorset online now.
