This package is fantastic and a must-do when you are in the Edinburgh area. Everyone has heard of Johnnie Walker whisky and everyone recognises that famous striding man and his dog image pictured on the bottles.

But did you know Johnnie Walker was an actual person? He was a greengrocer and, despite being teetotal, turned his hand to blending whisky, using the skills he learned by blending tea. This is the sort of fascinating stuff you'll learn on your tours, as well as tasting lots of nice whisky.

The Glenkinchie Distillery, about 45-minutes south east of Edinburgh, is the lowlands home of Johnnie Walker whisky. It's a fantastic place to visit, with a stunning visitor centre. And make sure you have a wander in the gardens - they are lovely!

On your distillery visit your guide will explain the ‘Journey of Flavour' from malt growing in the fields, to being a fine oak-aged whisky in the best bars. It's fascinating stuff and your tour guide will be knowledgeable, engaging and fun.

Of course, no visit to a whisky distillery would be complete without a wee dram or too. So you'll taste a trio of whiskies and a cocktail in the Tasting Room, before sitting down for lunch at the distillery.

Next stop is the Johnnie Walker shop on Prince's Street. Transfers between Glenkinchie Distillery and the Johnnie Walker experience in Edinburgh centre are included. This is a flagship store for the famous whisky brand and certainly has the wow factor.

The highlight of your visit will be the interactive quiz. Answer the questions and three whiskies will be selected for you to sample according to your taste preferences and flavour favourites.
