What Can I Expect

Jurassic coast cruises departing Poole Harbour, to see the eastern tip of this historic coastline on a two and a quarter hour boat tour. We are offering child and adult tickets for these departures.

Your sightseeing boat sets sail from Poole, heading past Brownsea Island and around South Haven Point, towards the Studland and Godlingham Nature Reserve. You’ll be cruising past sheltered bays, sandy beaches and coves all the way to Swanage and back again.

The views along this part of Jurassic Coast are spectacular. Look out for stunning spots such as Shell Beach, Knoll Beach, Shep’s Hollow and Ballard Cliff. By now, you’ll be sailing in Swanage Bay, a popular Jurassic Coast seaside resort.

In the distance, you’ll be able to spot Peveril Point and Old Harry Rocks - a highlight of your boat tour. You will sail right alongside these iconic chalk stacks - and they really are breathtaking and definitely best seen from the water!

As you gaze up at the brilliant white rock, reflecting the blue azure waters all around, you might be wondering how they came to be called Old Harry’s Rocks. Well, it really is the stuff of Jurassic Coast ancient legends and you’ll hear all about them as part of the onboard commentary throughout your cruise.

Sailing back to Swanage you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the sea air and the views, take photos and enjoy being out in the Bay on a proper ferry-style cruise boat. There’s also a bar onboard, so you can buy a drink and relax too.
