What Can I Expect
Get ready for take off in the light aircraft flight simulator in Liverpool! This Cessna 172 Skyhawk sim is based at a flight training facility in the beating heart of the Business Aviation Centre at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
If you like planes, there’s no better place than Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport for a simulator session! It’s a bustling place with lots of scheduled, chartered and business flights, both domestic and international.
The flight school hosting these sessions offers UK CAA and EASA approved training for anyone wanting to learn to fly light aircraft and time on this simulator is a valuable resource for any budding pilot. It’s also great fun.
Experiences begin with a 15-minute pre-flight briefing, then you are in the simulator cockpit at the controls for a full 45-minutes. The first five minutes or so will be getting used to the actual controls (they’re more sensitive than you’d think!) and then you’re off, piloting the Cessna.
Of course, you can pick and choose any airport in the database, but many of you want to stay local and fly a full sector from Manchester to Liverpool. And yes, there's the scope to practice approaches and landings several times. So don’t worry if you’re not spot on that runway centre-line first time, you’ll have a couple more goes to nail it!
For those of you who already have some sim experience, the training team can transform the setup into a twin-engine Piper Seneca to push your flying skills just that little further.
We think these flight simulator experiences at Liverpool Airport are a great choice for anyone keen to give virtual flying a go - and it’s in a great International Airport location too!
