What Can I Expect
Learn with the camera expert on a Michael Freeman photography course! Work your way through the eight online modules to learn virtually everything there is to know about taking great photos.
These online photography courses are presented and hosted by expert photographer Michael Freeman. The experienced author and photojournalist has written over 40 technical photography books and his stunning images have featured in over 100 tomes, many of which make for stylish ‘coffee table' books.
The essential, never-to-be-forgotten first rule of photography is composition. Michael explains how composition should be your ‘constant preoccupation' and that this ‘design' element of an image should underpin every single photo you take.
It's all about the subject matter of your image, which relates to the way you interpret what you see in the world all around you. Get that real-life moment in time captured within a frame and you've got a photo that really will speak a 1000 words.
A passionate anthropologist and seasoned traveller, Michael is fascinated by people and their environment. Through his online teaching, this well-respected photographer will be helping you find your own style, to create distinctive and meaningful images, which will express your personal way of seeing things.
If you have, or can get hold of Michael's technical book ‘The Photographer's Eye', you'll get an even more in-depth look at the way he sees his world - and it's truly fascinating, colourful and striking.
No experience is needed to join these on-line courses. A DSLR camera would be great, but you can also do the assignments with a compact camera, or even a decent phone camera.
We are offering ‘Peer' and ‘Expert' access to these Michael Freeman photography courses. As well as all the online content in the Peer option, the Expert level gives you personal feedback and a signed certificate from Michael on completion of his foundation course.
