What Can I Expect

Go microlighting over Peterborough and fly over the fens and forests! We are offering 30 and 45-minute flights out of Conington Airfield. This flying club operates modern C42B Ikarus light sport aircraft, which, although classed as microlights, give you all the comfort of a standard small aeroplane.

Your in-flight training starts with explanations of the main control inputs. Lessons then get straight down to business with you at the controls, as you circle over the Conington Airfield area. On the 30-minute lesson you'll make good progress, flying straight, flying level - and flying both together.

Choosing the 45-minute experience (our most popular voucher) extends the flight time, so you learn more in the air and get the benefit of more hands-on time at the controls. You might even get to the stage of following some local Conington line features (important visual aids for pilots!), such as the drainage dykes and motorways around the Peterborough area.
