What's Included

What Can I Expect
Microlighting in Cambridge! Trial lessons and flight experience in a flexwing microlight out of the small and friendly Sutton Meadows airfield near Ely, in Cambridgeshire.
We have vouchers for 30, 45 and 60-minute flights out of Sutton Meadows, as well as a two-hour ‘Flying Start’ landaway experience, where you embark on a cross country flight to another airfield and back.
All the safety gear you need (helmet, flying suit and gloves) will be provided for you. Each trial flight starts with a ground briefing covering the basic aspects of flying, as well as safety information and being shown around the aircraft.
Comfortably settled in the open cockpit microlight, you’re ready to get airborne. Once at cruising height, you’ll enjoy fabulous views of Ely, Cambridgeshire and the Fens. If you live close enough, you may be able to fly over or nearby where you live - perhaps over your own house!
These flights aren’t just about the fab bird’s eye view, you will also have the opportunity to take the controls, so you can experience for yourself how the lightest touch can alter your flight course.
If you are serious about wanting to get to know what piloting a microlight is all about, we highly recommend the Flying Start package. It’s a more involved experience, where you fly to another airfield, have a break and then fly back - and it could be the start of your journey to achieving your microlight pilots licence.

- Cameras are permitted whilst airbourne, as long as it is fitted with a good quality safety strap
Anything Else
- Participants should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled flight time
- It is recommended you wear warm, comfortable clothing andbring a pair of gloves
