What Can I Expect

New Forest classic car hire - a day of delightful driving! Nothing beats going for a drive on the open Hampshire roads in a classic or sports car. These wonderful one-day hire experiences give you a choice of motoring fun.

We are offering Silver and Gold New Forest car hire vouchers. All packages include 100-miles of driving and insurance for one driver. If you think you might fall in love and want to be worth your chosen car for longer, that can all be negotiated on booking in your experience.

Have a look at the range of cars available. It's pretty eclectic, with everything from the rear-wheel drive pocket rocket that is the MX5 and the super-stylish Jaguar E-Type, to the super fun Mini Moke and the beefy ‘66 Mustang.

A special mention for the Alfa 4-C. This pretty little thing is one of only 50 special Spyder anniversary models. And we can't ignore the Morgan. No roof, no doors, half a windscreen, two cylinders and three wheels! It's a bonkers car to drive.

As for where you go, this car hire base is right next to the lovely New Forest, so within a day you can quite easily tour all around this area, from Salisbury to Southampton. The hire car team has a range of mapped-out themed routes you can follow (the coast, castles and so on) or you can do your own thing.

What's more, you can fill all the available seats in the car with passengers, so you can happily invite friends and family to join you on your New Forest road trip.

When Is It Available

• Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• Hires are subject to availability of your chosen vehicle
• Day hires generally start at 09:00 finishing at 18:00
• Alternative timings may be agreed by prior arrangement
• Overnight or extra days can be arranged for an additional charge when booking your date

Insurance requirements

• Driver age 25-75 (30-75 for E-Type & Alfa 4C)
• UK/EU licence held for 2+ years
• No license suspensions within the past 3 years
• No more than ONE fault incident within the past 3 years
• No more than 2 convictions of 3 points per conviction
• BA/DD/UT convictions cannot be accepted

Spectators

• Passengers are welcome if there is space in your chosen vehicle

Anything Else

• Silver Package: A security deposit of £1000 is required (or £250 if CDW purchased)
• Gold Package: A security deposit of £1000 is required (E-type £1500)

Alfa Romeo Spider S2

• 2+2 seater with manual transmission
• The Series 2 Alfa Romeo Spider has a powerful 2 litre engine and 5 speed gearbox
• 2+2 seats means that the two front seats are normal ‘adult' sized, and the two rear seats are for children or occasional use

Austin Healey Sprite

• 2 seater with manual transmission
• This great fun little 1972 sports car is perfect for the New Forest. It's small, lightweight and handles like it's on rails!
• Not suited for taller or lesser-mobile drivers as the cockpit is on the smaller side

Mazda MX5

• 2 seater with manual transmission
• Top of the range 1.8 ‘Sport' model, with heated leather seats, a 6 speed manual gearbox, Bilstein suspension, limited slip diff.

MGB Roadster

• 2 seater with manual transmission
• One of the most popular roadsters of the '60s and '70s
• Powered by a 1.8l four-cylinder engine, with a 4 speed manual gearbox and overdrive

Mini Moke

• 4 Seater with manual transmission
• An original 1967 UK market car, one of only 14'518 produced. It is fully restored and in superb condition
• Weather gear (folding roof) is provided but does not give full rain protection as there are no doors!

Morris Minor Convertible

• 4 Seater with manual transmission
• Powered by a 1098cc four-cylinder engine, with a 4 speed manual gearbox
• Perfect for sunny days out with a picnic or just a trip down memory lane!

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

• The 4C has a zero-to-60 time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph
• This stunning Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is one of 50 ‘Anniversary Edition' models to celebrate 50 years of the first ‘Spyder' model, launched in 1966
