What Can I Expect
Learn how to capture the beauty of animals on an online wildlife photography course! Hosted by respected wildlife photographer Heather Angel, these courses comprise four modules for you to work through online - and no previous wildlife photographing experience is necessary to enjoy this course!
Heather Angel is highly respected in her specialist field of nature and wildlife photography. Following a zoology degree, Heather quickly developed her much-revered skills in scientific accuracy when it comes to capturing images of living things. Many, many books later, Heather is a regular visiting professor at the University of Nottingham and Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
For these online wildlife photography courses, Heather will lead you through all the basic techniques for capturing animals on camera. Whether you're snapping foxes in the fields, getting close up to lizards or heading off on a big game safari, the skills to be able to capture those animal personalities are the same.
One of the key factors when it comes to photographing wildlife is light. Should you fill-flash or not? How do you use faster shutter speeds to catch animals in flight or running? How do you light an indoor setting like a barn? All these and many other questions will be covered in the four on-line modules you'll be working through.
A highlight for us is the session covering macro photography, where you get really close up to your subject to take a cracking shot. Seeing the facial features of an insect close up is pretty amazing and this course will show you how any amateur photographer can capture stunning images of animals close up.
By the end of this online wildlife photography course with Heather Angel, you will be confidently taking correctly exposed, eye-catching portraits and action shots of animals, from a robin perched on a snow-covered branch in your garden, to a lioness caring for her cubs in your local wildlife park.
