What Can I Expect

Go karting in Staffordshire! Buy your vouchers for a 45-minute experience at this family-run outdoor karting centre near Lichfield for an open driving session.

This Lichfield centre has two different tracks. The Family Circuit is more compact, with wider overtaking sections, shorter straights and slower corners making it ideal for little ones to get karting in a fun and safe way. It's also great for grown ups who want to go out with the kids at the same time, hence the name!

The International Circuit, also referred to as the ‘front' track by the kart team at Lichfield, is the main track. It's suitable for adults and teens (that's to say, anyone over the age of 12 years) and is a testing circuit, where it's a challenge to overtake, with lots of tight corners and hairpins to negotiate too.

Karts used for these sessions depend on your age. The littlest karters will have oodles of fun behind the wheel of the 160cc BIZ karts. Drivers aged 12yrs or over who are at least 1.5m tall, will get their hands on a 200cc Sodi GT4 kart. With a top speed of around 40mph you'll be whizzing around that track.

And in fact, the current lap time record is 28.448 seconds. That was set by one of the instructors at this Lichfield kart centre, so if you fancy yourself as a bit of a karting pro, the gauntlet has been set down and that's your time to beat!

Practice sessions are available at various times, seven days a week, all year round. Remember, kids as young as 8 years old can take part, so whether it's a family day out on the Family Circuit, or a work's do on the International Circuit, there's go karting in Staffordshire for you!
