What Can I Expect

Go paddle boarding on the River Dart from Totnes for a lovely day out in Devon! These three-hour SUP tours will see you paddling with an instructor guide on this picturesque part of the river towards Dartmouth.

Suitable for all levels, with the minimum age being nine years old, these paddleboard trips are great for holidaymakers, families, solos and couples alike. The tempo is all very relaxed and relaxing, as you paddle and sightsee at the same time.

Your meeting spot is Steamer Quay in Totnes. You’ll be kitted out with paddle, board, buoyancy aid and a roll-top dry bag to put your personal bits in. Your guides are also instructors, so they will make sure you’re all confident on technique before you launch.

The River Dart runs from the heights of Dartmoor down the sea at Dartmouth. In this part of Devon it’s tidal, which means the water level rises and falls with tides. All paddleboarding from Totnes takes into account tide times and your guides will explain more about this fascinating phenomenon!

As you paddle gently along, you will love the scenery. This part of Devon is pretty idyllic. From lovely inns on the both banks of the Dart, to all the wildlife you can spot, including birds, fish and maybe even seals!
