What Can I Expect
Very special Peak District photography workshops! Join Alan for a stroll through some of the very best parts of the lovely Hope Valley and learn how to take some fantastic photos on the way.
You'll attend both the Padley and Bolehill sessions across the day.
The other morning itinerary takes you along the stunning Padley Gorge. Follow the burbling Burbage Brook across the rocks, through fabulous ancient woodlands. The meeting time for this is a more civilised 09:30.
The afternoon itinerary explores the hidden gem that is Lawrencefield. You'll head off on wooded trails that lead to an unexpected discovery - the many abandoned millstones of the former Bolehill Quarry.
Back in the early 20th century, the highest quality Peak District stone was quarried at Bolehill and shaped into millstones. Long since closed down, the vestiges of this Hope Valley industry still remain amongst the birch trees - and it's really atmospheric.
These Peak District walks offer up endless opportunities to take great photographs. Alan is a superb guide, host and tutor who knows these parts of the stunning Hope Valley very well and certainly knows how to get you to get the most out of your camera. From close ups of fungi and atmospheric shots of the ferny forest floors, to sweeping moorlands and open panoramas, all infused with those incredible colours.
Book your place and get ready to walk, chat, photograph and learn with like-minded people.
