What Can I Expect
See RHS Garden Bridgewater with these ticket packages for two! Visit the Royal Horticultural Society's gardens in Greater Manchester that opened in 2021 to great acclaim.
Originally Worsley New Hall, the mansion house has long since been demolished, but the RHS has restored and renewed the gardens to their Victorian glory, with a wonderful modern twist.
Visitors enter via the Welcome Centre, which is an architecture award-winning building in a stunning contemporary style, which still blends seamlessly into the formal garden landscape. You'll be invited to wander around the 154-hectare site at your own pace.
Celebrated horticulturalist Tom Stuart-Smith was charged with the overall design at Bridgewater and his inspired plans included restoring the Walled Garden, one of the largest in Europe, creating a series of garden rooms including the stunning Paradise Garden, Kitchen Garden and restful Wellbeing Garden.
The Bridgewater Canal borders the edge of the gardens and new installations such as the Chinese Streamside Garden, linking the historic Ellesmere Lake to newly created Moon Bridgewater and featuring an authentic music pavilion, are all as blissful and peaceful as they sound!
And of course, there's a garden centre, cafes and even a woodland adventure playground to keep all ages happy.
