What Can I Expect

The hearty tale of the Rum Tasting Masterclass! Indulge in every pirate's favourite drink when you attend a rum masterclass hosted by a Brewhouse & Kitchen near you!

A rum expert will be ready to welcome you and your fellow rum tasters for this fun tasting and masterclass at the B&K venue of your choice. You'll learn a lot about the history of rum (it goes way back to around 1650 in Barbados!) and how it's made (you need sugar cane!), all delivered in a brilliantly engaging way.

You'll love peering into the Kilner jars and having a sniff. Filled with sugar cane and spices, these jars are the very nucleus of rum making, with their heady aromas giving off that irresistible sweet and spicy combination rum is renowned for.

Another highlight is learning to make your very own Dark & Stormy rum cocktail. Dark rum, ginger beer, lime juice and some fancy cocktail techniques and you've made a delicious high-ball drink that you will be able to sip on!

Over the course of a couple of relaxed and entertaining hours, you will be regaled with everything from rum cocktail recipes, to tall tails of rum, pirates and the high seas. And of course, you will get to taste several different rums, with tasting notes to help you.

If you fancy extending the experience, make sure you go for the voucher with a meal for two included, so you can relax over a tasty main course fresh out of the B&K kitchen from the Academy menu, featuring classic pub grub.
