What Can I Expect

Introducing you to the Shark 600 for a high performance flying lesson! We have vouchers for 60-minutes of high-speed flying in this agile plane, taking off from Beccles Aerodrome on the Suffolk / Norfolk borders.

As the flying school who operates this aircraft says : ‘There are plenty of places to fly in aircraft but only one place to fly in a Shark - and that is at Beccles Aerodrome'. Indeed, this is the first club in the UK to offer experiences in the Shark 600.

So what makes this little plane so special? It's all about speed, agility and performance. The Shark can easily cruise for 1697 miles at 146 knots. Top speed is around 162 knots (that's about 190mph), which is way faster than your typical light aircraft!

You'll notice the Shark 600 has a very sleek design, with features such as retractable gear and variable-pitch prop, just two of the reasons why this plane boasts such an impressive performance.

All flights in the Shark at Beccles are treated as trial lessons, so that means you will be given the chance to take control and actually fly this high-performing beast by yourself, which is really quite exciting.

The set up inside the cockpit is tandem, which means you'll be sitting behind your instructor, but the Shark is dual control, so you will be able to fly the plane from the back seat, as it were!

When Is It Available

• Flights are generally available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays along with weekends throughout the year
• All flights are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• The minimum age is 14
• Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
• Maximum weight is 15 stone (95 kgs)
