What Can I Expect
The Soho music tour - experience the best of the British music scene in London! From the Marquee Club to the 2 i's coffee bar, these fully-guided walking tours take in the key places the most influential and successful stars of music frequented.
Your tour starts at Leicester Square. Your music expert guide will host your group as you head off on foot around Soho and Mayfair. There's a fair bit of walking involved, but you'll get to see loads of the famous sights and lots of hidden gems too.
Who could forget the iconic Oasis album ‘(What's the Story) Morning Glory'? Well, back in 1995 this young Mancunian band did the photoshoot for the album cover in Berwick Street, in the heart of Soho - and now you can recreate it on this tour!
And then there's Heddon Street. This Soho street is synonymous with David Bowie and Ziggy Stardust. Not to mention Gerrard Street and its links to legendary Led Zeppelin. And who could forget that last ever Beatles gig on the roof of the Apple record label building? That's in Savile Row and you'll see that too.
A highlight for many is visiting a very special mural. It depicts the links Soho has with music, from Mozart right through to the present day, via punk, rock ska and more. It's an impressive work of art and a great tribute to the creativity and artistry of all those talented musicians, singers and songwriters who have influenced and been influenced by London and Soho in particular.
The tour lasts around three and a half hours, so there will be a mid-tour break at a pub associated with a music icon like David Bowie. The experience also includes lunch, which will be taken at a suitably funky venue in the heart of bustling Soho. Subject to availability, you will also be able to visit The Vault, a secret corner of the Hard Rock hotel that is a treasure trove of priceless music memorabilia.
