South African wine tasting experiences in West Sussex - tutored tastings showcasing the finest wines from the Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate near Capetown.

As the sister wine estate to Leonardslee near Horsham in West Sussex, Benguela Cove has been producing award-winning wine on the Western Cape for many years. The wines you’ll be tasting are all from this South African wine estate.

On the edge of the Lagoon Nature Reserve, the cool climate, where the ocean meets ancient soils, is excellent for growing grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are then used to make delicious still wines with vibrant flavours.

During your tutored tasting, you’ll learn all about the rich history and heritage of Benguela Cove, the family-run wine estate where passion and dedication is behind every bottle produced.

These experiences take place in the beautifully decorated Tasting Room at the Leonardslee Wine Estate and are hosted by a wine expert who will explain the flavours and the story behind each of the South African wines you taste.
