What Can I Expect
Welcome to Stanlake Park Wine Estate tasting tours where the wine will be flowing! This picturesque wine estate in Berkshire is a lovely place to visit. We are offering vouchers for two people to be part of a group tasting and tour at Stanlake.
This really is a local wine producer at its finest. The estate is just stunning and so pretty, with wisteria hanging over the walls, gorgeous red-brick barns and lovely lawns perfect for lounging with a glass in your hand!
You'll both be tasting six Stanlake Estate wines. Subject to availability, that will include two sparkling, a rosé, a red and a couple of whites. You'll either taste them as you go along on your tour, or at the end of your visit in the Cellar Shop or out in that lovely walled garden when weather permits.
And indeed, the walled garden is where you might well get to see some of the original vines that were planted on the Stanlake Estate in 1979. After 40 years of wine making, Stanlake Park is one of the oldest wineries in England and the history of the estate (which is actually in Windsor Great Park) goes back to the 12th century.
What makes this tasting and tour all the more fascinating is the story behind how winemaking was first established here. There have been highs and lows, as Natalia and her team (which includes Italian winemaker Nico) will tell you. You're sure to be enthralled by the tales that will be told on your tour.
Whilst you're learning about Stanlake Park's journey to award-winning wine, you'll also get to see where the magic happens. The winery includes everything from the grape presses at the beginning of the process, through fermentation and the barrel room, to the bottling line. One of our favourite bits is the 'Fizz room', where you discover how the bubbles get into sparkling wines!
Your Stanlake Park Wine Estate tasting tour will come to a close in the Cellar Shop, where lots of goodies that you can buy (from all the estate-produced wines and snacks, to Italian coffee and wine lover gifts) are on display. The relaxed and friendly approach at Stanlake means you are welcome to stay after the tour (within opening times) to shop and maybe purchase another glass of two of wine.
