What Can I Expect
Tower of London tickets, BigBus tour tickets and the option for a two-course restaurant meal at a central London eatery - great London packages for two, available to buy online now!
Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress (to give the Tower of London its proper name) dates back to 1066. The tower has been the setting for major moments in history, from Anne Boleyn being beheaded (watch out for her ghost that's said to roam around the walled Wards), to Sir Walter Raleigh being imprisoned there.
You will also see the famous Beefeaters who look after the tower and tell enthralling tales of mystery, murders, torture and intrigue bringing London history is truly to life. Your tickets give you entry to the White Tower, the most famous Keep (or Donjon) in the capital. And amazingly, prisoners have included the Kray twins!
A highlight of any Tower of London visit is being able to see the Crown Jewels in the secure store of the Jewel House. You'll even get to see the impressive Imperial State Crown made in 1937 and worn by the Queen at every state opening of Parliament. You see what we mean about history!
Then there are the Tower of London legends. Ticket holders will get to find out why there must always be at least six ravens birds in residence at all times. And hear the story of the coin maker who fell asleep at his work post for 14 days when the Royal Mint was located within the Tower walls - to name but two!
As well as Tower of London tickets, your package includes a BigBus pass so you can hop on and off the three routes they operate all day. There's a stop outside the Tower, which is nice and convenient and buses go everywhere from Buckingham Palace and St Paul's, to Lambeth Palace and Oxford Street. And if you have opted for the meal, you'll be able to add eating in a London restaurant to your itinerary for the day!
