What Can I Expect
It's VR. It's full motion. It's the Spitfire simulator in Blackpool! Based out of a training organisation at Blackpool Airport, these special sim experiences will totally immerse you in WW2 Battle of Britain flying.
What makes the simulator setup stand out is the fact that there are two simulators that are side-by-side, which is why these vouchers are for up to two people.
Go as two and you’ll take off in close formation to patrol the skies as a duo, working together to outwit the Luftwaffe. You can even take each other on for a cheeky little Spitfire vs Spitfire aerial combat. Go solo and you’ll fly your Spitfire mission alongside an instructor.
Once you get that virtual reality headset on, you will totally be in the moment. The 360-degree Air Combat Pro graphics are amazing. And keep your eyes peeled above, to the sides, behind and even below your cockpit, as those pesky Messerschmitts could appear from out of nowhere…
And suddenly it's game on. You're battling it out over the heavy Normandy skies. You feel every single pitch and roll movement as you try and shake off the me109s. It's dog eat dog up there and if you don't shoot them down, they're sure to shoot you down!
Experiences last for 45, 60 or 75-minutes and you get a full pre-flight briefing on the use of the controls. You will be sitting in a full-motion cockpit seat with joystick command. With your VR headset on, your aerial world will come to life.
Exhilarating, thrilling and, thanks to the VR and full-motion, incredibly intense, these Spitfire simulator sessions in Blackpool will have you (literally) on the edge of your seat. Chocks away!
