What Can I Expect

Go wild camping in Dartmoor! Spend two days hiking the stunning moors with an overnight camping stop included - and the chance to try wild swimming too.

Dartmoor National Park covers over 350 square miles of South Devonshire moorland. Wild and remote, yet accessible for hikers of all levels, it's a fantastic place to explore, discover and connect with nature.

These wild camping experiences depart from the outdoor store and cafe base of this team of adventure specialists in Princetown. Heading off along ancient tracks and trails, you’ll be in the heart of Dartmoor, enjoying the incredible vistas and meeting some of the wildlife along the way.

From birds soaring in the sky above your heads, to the famous Dartmoor ponies, this rugged, unspoilt landscape is their perfect habitat. It’s a real privilege for us human beings to be able to witness it all.

Being able to wild camp on Dartmoor is a tradition to be respected and cherished. That’s why these trips adhere to the ‘leave no trace’ ethos; bringing everything and taking everything away with you. Your guide knows all the best spots for an overnight stay that are safe and sustainable too.

All the camping gear you need is included and you’ll get a kit list in advance from the leaders, so you know what to bring along. Make sure you pop your swimmers in your rucksack, as you will be invited to give wild swimming a try in one of Dartmoor’s many natural pools as part of your wild camping adventure!
