What Can I Expect
Join the lovely Hayley for a wild swimming walk! Walking with a refreshing dip in a wonderfully wild and natural setting, we are offering vouchers for one, two, three or four of you to walk and swim with Hayley.
These guided swim hikes take place all around Northumberland and the North Pennines. Hayley knows all the good spots, be it a short stroll to a waterfall, a longer hike over open moors to a river pool, or gentle walking to a hidden cove on the coast.
Meeting points could be anywhere in the area, from the Cheviots to the Howgills and the North East coast.
All outings are totally geared towards you. For most, it's their first time trying wild swimming and Hayley is an excellent chaperone, who will help prepare you mentally and physically for your swim and encourage you every step of the way.
No pressure, if you decide it's not for you, you can paddle or simply dip your toes in. Swimming is amazing, but just being there and taking a moment to take it all in has enormous benefits for your well-being too.
There's no need to be super sporty either. As long as you are OK treading water and swimming, you can swim in wild water. There's no getting away from the fact that it'll be cold, but you will feel incredible afterwards!
If you're curious about wild water swims, these sessions with Hayley are an excellent introduction, combining a walk, a stroll or even a little pootle, with swimming, paddling or toe-dipping!
The taster wild swimming walks usually run in the mornings and last around three to four hours. It'll just be you and Hayley - and kids from 12 years upwards are welcome as part of your group.
