What Can I Expect
Explore the Royal borough and a whole lot more on these Windsor day tours! Setting off from central London, we are offering half and full-day tours by coach to discover Windsor and the chance to see some other rather special places of interest too.
On the half-day excursion you'll concentrate purely on Windsor. The coach will drop you off in the heart of the lovely market town, adjacent to the entrance to Windsor Castle. Sitting atop a steep mound on the edge of the centre, Windsor was always one of the Queen's favourite residences. And indeed, it is really rather magnificent.
In recent times, St George's Chapel within the grounds has been the wedding venue for the younger Royals getting married. It's also where services took place for the funerals of the Queen and Prince Philip. This tour will see you literally walking in the footsteps of Royalty and celebrities, as you wander along the Long Walk and around the Quadrangle.
All tours include entrance to Windsor Castle, so you'll be able to access all the areas that are open to the public. The State Rooms are stunning and steeped in history, whilst the Chapel is amazing too. Even the grounds are well-worth a stroll so you can see the imposing Round, Curfew and Edward III towers. And of course, make sure you take your camera to capture all these very Royal sights!
If you're on the full-day Windsor tour, your trip out includes a visit to Stonehenge, the most famous of Neolithic stone circles. It's pretty atmospheric stuff and a must-do. Your coach will also take you to Bath, the spa town in Somerset, where the Romans built their hot spring baths in 60AD. You'll have free time to discover the likes of the Thermal Baths, the Pump Room and the Royal Crescent, before boarding your coach back to London.
We think these great value Windsor day tours are a superb way to see all the best bits of Windsor, with the added bonus of Stonehenge and Bath for full day passengers. What's more, there's nothing for you to do, it's all organised for you from the moment you step onboard the coach in London.
