What Can I Expect
Join Rachel at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on her photography course! This one-day workshop gives you the chance to walk on the wild side at this fantastic wildlife park near Doncaster, learning how to take some great pictures as you go.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park opened in 2009 on a former riding school and farm estate. Its mission is to be a centre of excellence for endangered and threatened species. Providing homes for over 400 animals, the park works (with its Foundation) to promote and advance the conservation and welfare of wildlife in both their natural habitat and in captivity to educate and inspire the public.
We think you will find these photography courses at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park totally inspiring too. Hosted by passionate and highly skilled photographer Rachel, you will learn everything you need to know to make the leap from 'auto' to 'manual' mode on your DSLR when capturing these wonderful creatures on camera.
For example, heading over to the 'Land of the Tiger' you'll encounter the endangered Amur Tigers. With a raised walkway affording you superb viewpoints into what is the largest Tiger reserve in Europe, you are well-placed for snapping images of these impressive big cats in a superb setting - there's even a waterfall for the Tigers to enjoy!
You'll also love the Lemur Woods. On the edge of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, where the Ring-tail and Red-bellied Lemurs leap amongst the trees. Rachel will give you hints and tips on how to photograph these lovable creatures as they literally fly above your heads (it's all about shutter speed!).
With over 70 acres of woods, wetlands, walkabouts and the safari village, there's a lot to see and do at this park. Rachel will be with you every step of the way as you move around the reserves, encouraging you to take the time to observe the wild animals and compose your shot.
By the end of your Yorkshire Wildlife Park photography course you could be leaving with a collection of images worthy of a National Geographic cover!
