Rib & powerboat experiences on the water
Being out on the water in a RIB or a speedboat, with the wind in your hair and the water spray is invigorating and full of fun. Although these boats are very powerful, your voyage doesn’t have to be full-on powerboat racing, it could be at a more leisurely pace to cruise along the water.
Sightseeing RIB tours & boat trips
RIBS (that’s to say Rigid Inflatable Boats) are hugely popular ways to get out on the water. They’re rugged, powerful, stable and safe, making them a popular choice in any marina. Be it on the waves of the open seas, the busy shipping lanes of the Thames or cruising downstream on a river, a Rib is the perfect vessel.
Rib rides are currently hugely popular on the River Thames in London, where our RIB rides regularly sell out. What could be better than seeing all those landmark buildings from the point of view of the water? And then you get to whoop with delight as the skipper opens up the throttle for a few fast turns on the unrestricted parts of the river!
Wonderful wildlife by boat
Another ideal setting for a RIB is on a wildlife safari on the sea. You could be observing seal colonies off the coast of Cornwall, Scotland or even the North East of England in the North Sea. With sea birds, mammals and more, there’s so much to see on a RIB cruise beyond the shores of mainland UK.
Driving the powerboat yourself - RYA boat courses
All this talk of how great RIBS, speedboats and powerboats might well be making you want to have a go at being a skipper of a vessel. That’s why we also offer RYA (that’s the Royal Yachting Association) approved powerboat courses.
Over one or two days, you’ll learn how to drive a powerboat on either inland waters or the sea. There’ll be some theory to cover, as well as drills and exercises such as docking, coming alongside, man overboard and so on. If you pass your course you’ll get an RYA certificate that’ll show you are competent at the helm of a powerboat. And that means you are be able to use your card to hire boats in the future.
So whether you want the high-thrills, power-turn RIB ride, fancy some speedboat sightseeing afloat, or actually want to be a skipper, we’ve got the Rib ride or powerboat experience for you. Shop your vouchers online now in just a few clicks.
