What Can I Expect

Exclusive drift training at Dunsfold! These half and full-day private drifting sessions are taught on a one-to-one basis, so all training is geared to you. What's more, you can invite up to two guests to come along with you and share the drive time.

Drifting is a veritable art. It may be born out of street racing in Japan, but it's big in the UK and Europe. In fact, the instructor drivers for these academy dates at Dunsfold are all big into drifting and compete in various series around the country and abroad, so they know their stuff.

Being an experience just for you means that the whole drift session at Dunsfold is tailored to what you want to do. If you're a beginner, you'll start by covering the basics. You'll have plenty of time to practise the moves over and over again, much more so than on a standard group experience. You also have the option of dry and wet circuit conditions.

You'll then be able to take your drift driving further, by tackling more advanced techniques, all the time with the coaching from your expert instructor. They are all highly skilled and love sharing their passion for the sport, so you'll learn lots.

What we love about these private half and full day training sessions is that you get allocated a drift car for the duration, so you can really get to know the car and how to get the best out of it when you're doing those drift moves.

This centre at the renowned Dunsfold Park uses drift modified cars including the Nissan 200X (both S14 and S14a), the Lexus IS200 and IS250. These are all your classic drift car types used by competing and trainee drifters around the world.

And of course, all the tyre-screeching is pretty full-on, so much so that the car (and probably you!) will need cool down periods and maybe even tyre changes if you're out on the dry circuit only. Yes it can get that intense!

Availability

• Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• Dates and session times are subject to availability

Suitable For

• Drivers are not required to hold a full driving licence, although an insurance excess applies of £39.50 to any drivers without a full licence on the day
• Those with a current full driving licence must produce this on the day to avoid an excess being charged
• Minimum age 12
• Maximum weight 22 stone
• Minimum height 4'6"
• Maximum height 6'9"

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome and high speed passenger laps are available to purchase on the day

Anything Else

• Arms and legs must be covered at all times (no shorts or T shirts)
• Tyre changes and cool down laps are deducted from drive time. ie on a wet training surface rear tyres will last 1-2 hours, giving you ultimate drive time
• If you opt for the dry surface tyres can last 5-10 minutes
• Customers have an option of taking out a collision damage waiver at all venues on the day at sign up - £10 per driver
• Dogs or other animals are not permitted on the race circuit
