What Can I Expect

Mountain bike coaching in Yorkshire! Group skills sessions and private tuition from a qualified mountain bike guide in a selection of locations around West Yorkshire and the Peak District.

Your host for these courses is Alex. He is passionate about mountain biking and loves sharing his enthusiasm with all levels of rider, from absolute beginner to those with biking experience. He’s great at teaching riding skills and knows some superb mountain biking spots in and around Yorkshire and the Peaks.

The two-hour Skills Sessions are run as small group workshops. If you’re new to mountain biking, the Core Skills one is for you. Covering everything from setting the height of the saddle correctly, to using your gears and brakes properly and taking your first steps into the world of riding trails.

The Progression session takes what you learn in the Core Skills to the next level, as you are shown how to really start riding your bike to get the most out of it and thoroughly enjoy your riding on varied and challenging terrain. You might even nail those stylish bunny hops!

The Air Time workshop shows you how to ride drops and step down jumps. It’s all about taking the compression, understanding your speed and where your body should be positioned over the bike for drop offs and jumps. Totally exhilarating!

Those who really want to get their mountain bike skills totally dialled in one session, should opt for the one-to-one half-day experience, which is taught as a private lesson. All teaching is (literally!) geared towards you and what you hope to achieve. It’s a great way to iron out any dodgy techniques and progress rapidly.

As Alex says, when you mountain bike you’ll find you’re in a fun and friendly environment filled with humour and camaraderie. Isn't it time you got on your bike? Book your mountain bike coaching session in and around West Yorkshire now!
