What Can I Expect
Tractor driving in Rutland! We are offering 30 and 60-minute drives in a tractor on a working farm in the heart of Greetham village in the tiny rural county of Rutland, which is adjacent to Leicestershire.
Lucy grew up on this idyllic family farm in Rutland. Their hens lay the eggs sold in most major supermarkets. In order to feed those busy hens, the family grows winter wheat and barley. And when you grow crops, you need a decent tractor.
Bring on the Massey Ferguson. Mowing and ploughing out in the fields, working in the paddocks and around the barns, a tractor is the workhorse of the agricultural world and is an essential vehicle for any farmer.
You will be driving this Massey Ferguson tractor around parts of this Rutland farm. Starting in the paddock area, you'll get used to the controls. You'll then trundle out towards the fields, where you can practise some manoeuvres and try things like reversing. There might even be some work to be done out there if it's the right season.
If you opt for the extended 60-minute tractor drive, farmers Lucy and Jack will let you try your hand at a task such hooking up a trailer, or even moving things like hay bales around, just like a proper farmer!
So it's wellies on and get ready to get out in the fields in your Massey Ferguson on this tractor driving experience in Rutland!
