An exclusive wedding ring workshop for two people
Prior to your workshop you will be sent a mood board to help you decide on your wedding ring designs that you wish to create
Learn tips and techniques from a trained jeweller on how to design and carve your wedding rings in wax
After your workshop, your wedding rings will be cast into silver which takes approximately 6 weeks (quotes for your rings to be made in gold or platinum can be provided once your rings have been carved)

What Can I Expect

Make your own wedding rings in Brighton! Bespoke, tailor-made wedding bands designed and crafted by you for you, to make your Big Day extra special.

With the help of Brighton-based jewellery maker Beth Chaplin, the two of you will be creating your two silver wedding rings using the lost wax method. This ancient method of making and casting metal jewellery is a very traditional and creative way to make your wedding rings.

As an experienced and talented jeweller, Beth loves keeping specialist craft traditions alive. Lost wax jewellery starts with carving your piece out of special blocks of jeweller's wax. This is where you, as a couple engaged to be married, get to make your dream wedding bands come true.

Using traditional tools, you will be carving into the wax to create textures and your personalised design. It's a rather relaxing and calming craft and Beth promises all guests that absolutely no previous experience is necessary, so there's no stress!

The pair of you will spend around two hours with Beth, carving, forming and shaping the wedding bands you want. Some couples create matching pairs, others set about making each other's ring. It's your personal workshop time, so the tutoring is entirely bespoke to you.

When you've completed your wax rings, Beth will do the rest. The clever process takes a few weeks and involves creating a mould and then pouring in molten silver to cast the rings. The rings will emerge somewhat rough and ready, but Beth will do all the finishing and polishing in her Brighton studio to complete your duo of sparkling silver wedding rings.
